*Biography 

Elizabeth Waterhouse is a dancer and dance scholar with a focus on contemporary dance theory and practice. She is currently an associated researcher at University of Bern Institute of Theatre Studies in the field of dance studies. Waterhouse has worked over twenty years as a performer and dance maker, notably for a decade as a dancer with Ballett Frankfurt/The Forsythe Company. She has co-created over 25 artistic productions and written multiple articles and book chapters. Making use of her unusually wide education across the humanities, arts and natural sciences, she has been a leader of projects that examine movement practices and their discourses from a multidisciplinary perspective. Waterhouse frequently teaches workshops and University courses pertaining to creative process, movement techniques and choreography.
