*Biography 

Elizabeth Waterhouse is a dancer and dance scholar with a focus on contemporary dance theory and practice. She is currently a Postdoc at University of Bern in the field of dance studies. Waterhouse has worked over twenty years as a performer and dance maker, notably for a decade as a dancer with Ballett Frankfurt/The Forsythe Company. She has co-created over 25 artistic productions and written multiple articles and book chapters. Making use of her unusually wide education across the humanities, arts and natural sciences, she has been a leader of projects that examine movement practices and their discourses from a multidisciplinary perspective. Waterhouse frequently teaches workshops and University courses pertaining to creative process, movement techniques and choreography.
